  1. Sign The Petition urging the Senate to pass the Gulf Coast Recovery Bill.
  2. Call your Senators: Call you senators and ask them to support the Gulf Coast Recovery Bill of 2007 (S1668). In addition, ask them to push these points which add further amendments for public housing tenants and very low-income residents displaced by the storm.
  3. Become a Disaster Accountability Monitor or Blogger. DisasterAccountability.org is a website that monitors the nation's disaster prevention, response, relief, and recovery system. They are building a non-partisan, citizen oversight network across the country to report and verify gaps in disaster relief services. If gaps are made public, they are more likely to be addressed ... And faster. You can also make policy recommendations on their website or share your disaster story.
  4. Watch "Voices from the Gulf." If you were affected by Hurricane Katrina, please submit your own video to the project.
